Rooisand Nature Reserve & Wild Horses: For as long as the older Kleinmond residents can remember, there have been Wild Horses in the vlei (wetlands) between the present parking area in the Rooisand Reserve and the river mouth at Kleinmond. They never venture outside the wetland and the adjacent dunes, and they can be seen either from the tarred road, or more closely observed, if one walks along the beach towards Fisherhaven. Bird Watching: The wetlands and estuaries around Kleinmond attract a wide range of bird species, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. Keep an eye out for African fish eagles, flamingos, and kingfishers.

Play Golf: The Kleinmond Gold Club has beautiful 9-hole course right agains the mountain with uninterrupted sea views. The Arabella Golf Course, located just a short drive from Kleinmond, is a championship 18-hole course with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lagoon.
